Why Andy Carroll Was Right To Buy Protection Dogs

Unless you’ve been living on another planet for the past few days, you’ll have been hearing all about Andy Carroll’s recent escape from a couple of armed robbers. What has only recently come to light, however, is the fact that the famous footballer purchased a couple of trained protection dogs a few months before the attack took place, clearly signalling that Carroll was already fearful for his family’s safety.

If you aren’t familiar with the news story, we’ll give you a quick rundown. Basically, Carroll was on his way back from training with his club, West Ham United, when he was deliberately targeted by at least two robbers on motorbikes. The attackers threatened for his watch, which is worth £28,000, at gunpoint- before Carroll was able to put his foot down and speed away to safety.

It’s great to see that we have the best looking selection of protection dogs available on the market, and that the newspapers have resorted to pinching photographs of our dogs- rather than the company the dogs were actually purchased from.

The headline in question incorrectly described the dogs as “killers”, despite the fact that they are not known to have actually caused anyone any harm. What The Sun have failed to realise is that a well-trained protection dog is actually much less likely to injure someone when compared to normal dogs, since they are completely obedient to the commands of its owner. A protection dog is a form of defence, not a way to attack people.

If Carroll has been fearing for his safety and for that of his family, then he has made a wise decision in purchasing a couple of Cane Corso’s– as their power and alertness is something that just cannot be matched by other measures of security. It’s just a shame that he didn’t come to purchase from us, because at least that way he will have gotten a dog like the one in the picture!
