Roger is the Lead Security Consultant at Protection Dogs Worldwide, bringing a wealth of experience in both military and private security operations. A British Army veteran, he spent the majority of his career with 22 SAS, handling dogs on operations in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, and Africa. His military service provided him with unparalleled skills in canine handling, security operations, and tactical decision-making.
After leaving the military, Roger transitioned into the private security sector, where he is a highly regarded hostile environment close protection operative, close protection instructor, and dog handler.
His clients have included British government officials and Middle Eastern royalty, and his work has taken him to Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, and South America. He holds a range of NASDU qualifications and has also contributed to anti-poaching efforts in Africa, using his expertise in tracking, search, and detection to support conservation initiatives. A lifelong dog lover, Roger brings the same dedication and professionalism to working with Protection Dogs Worldwide as he does to his security work. Outside of his career, he enjoys spending quality time with the three dogs he currently owns, further reflecting his commitment to the welfare, training, and development of dogs.
Roger’s unique combination of military, security, and canine experience makes him an invaluable member of the PDW team, trusted for his expertise and professionalism at every level.
