Jonty’s journey into dog training began with his first spaniel, who had a habit of disappearing whenever he was off lead. Teaching him a reliable recall became Jonty’s mission, and he found himself reaching out to every dog trainer he could, eager to learn as much as possible.
That determination led him to join a mentorship programme, which eventually introduced him to the world of protection dogs and put him in touch with protection dogs worldwide. Jonty has been working with protection dogs for the past year and a half, continuing to develop his skills every day.
Outside of work, Jonty has big ambitions to compete with his own dogs in dog sports, while professionally his goal is to help as many owners as possible understand their dogs, overcome behavioural challenges, and build stronger relationships. He finds there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog and owner gain the confidence and skills to enjoy a happier, more fulfilling life together.
